Susie Roy

Susie was initiated to Wellness through the International Sivananda Yoga School in Kerala, India, and has completed their basic and advanced training programs. Since her initial training in 1998, she has been inspired and taught by many yoga teachers and spiritual masters in India and abroad. Her greatest guidance and inspiration has come from the continued study with her own teacher, Mansoor, with whom she has been working closely since 1999 in India, Europe and South Africa.

Wellness through basic yoga postures, breathing exercises, relaxation techniques and practices leading to meditation form the core of her path and teaching. Her focus is on recognizing awareness through sharpening the power of attention. Her teaching experience includes individual and group classes, workshops, residential retreats and teacher training programs.

Since 2009 Susie has been a visiting faculty member at the School of Inspired Leadership (SOIL) in Gurgaon, India. Through SOIL’s MBA program she formulates and conducts a course on Wellness. The course incorporates Yoga, mindfulness practices and basic eastern and western approaches to nutrition and wellbeing. As a member of the Global Leadership Program she delights in bringing the essence of these simple techniques into the busy corporate arena.

Susie holds a BSc. Hon. Dietetics degree from the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa and a Diploma in Hospital Dietetics from the University of Iowa Hospitals, Iowa USA.
