Joseph Braidish

Joe Braidish is a business researcher, educator, and management consultant with specific expertise in advising cross-sector ventures about enterprise strategy management, marketing and business development, productivity growth, business process management, and organizational effectiveness. He works with enterprises of all sizes, helping them build their capacity to do things like: create a vision and strategic framework, launch critical business initiatives, manage their operations and increase productivity, deploy marketing and business development strategies, build consulting and influencing capabilities, and enhance managerial leadership performance. In the course of developing himself and creating a meaningful work life, Joe seeks to advance the mission, values, objectives, and communal good of each organization he serves.

Joe is managing principal of his own consulting practice, Boulder, Colorado USA based Newbridge Services Group, LLC. He is a business advisor with CTEK, a State of Colorado economic development organization supporting small business expansion and economic growth throughout the region. Joe is the director of consulting and training for the consulting firm, Rummler-Brache Group. He is an executive consultant within the Change Management and Merger Integration practices of Pritchett, LP. In addition to the foregoing responsibilities, Joe serves as chief operations officer for the Seattle based

TOR Group, LLC and TOR Foundation. Within his Newbridge Services Group practice, Joe delivers management consulting services, education and training programs, and action research/decision support services to clients in all three sectors. Joe’s previous work experience includes four years as director of research and consulting services for Kelley Executive Partners (KEP), a division of Indiana University’s Advanced Research and Technology Institute, and the highly ranked executive education arm of the university’s Kelley School of Business. There he was responsible for directing the group’s research and consulting services practice, for providing direction and programming to its strategic business development service category, and for managing several custom clients like Whirlpool Corporation, Rolls-Royce, plc, EDS (now part of Hewlett-Packard), Alcatel-Lucent, the Indiana University Center on Philanthropy, and the Association of Fund-Raising Professionals. Additionally, he managed the school’s Asia Pacific Management Development Program for senior executives of several key clients, conducted through a partnership with the Thunderbird School of Global Management.

Prior to his work at Kelley Executive Partners, Joe spent the majority of his professional career serving in a variety of capacities for large, multi-national organizations like RCA Corporation (now Thales/Thomson-CSF), Continental Telephone (now Verizon), Sprint Communications Company, and Hillenbrand Industries. He has held senior and regional level management positions in sales, marketing operations, and client service support. He has more than 15 years of experience in account management and direct sales. He has directed corporate learning and organizational development within three telecommunications firms and two medical products and services companies. He has served as a vice president of sales and marketing for an e-learning company. 

Within the learning and development area, Joe has designed and authored learning programs addressing a wide variety of audience levels, topic areas, and instructional modalities, with more than 30 classroom-based programs, eight media-assisted learning systems, and two multi-modal mini-MBA programs to his credit. He holds numerous certifications to implement learning programs, workshops, and assessment instruments.

In addition to the foregoing, Joe has served as a board member and is the former executive director for All Together Now International, a Boulder, Colorado based nonprofit organization supporting economic empowerment, education, and health care projects in Asia and Africa. He has successfully advanced critical initiatives in the areas of board development and resource development, has broadened the scope of organizational programs, and has created a strategic alliance with Michigan based Stryker Corporation to fund pediatric orthopedic surgery missions to China. During his term as executive director, Joe also served as director of sales and marketing for the organization’s earned income strategy enterprise, Sentient Publications, a for profit publishing company.

A highlight of Joe’s current work is his engagement with social entrepreneurs and blended value organizations that leverage the interdependencies among three critical human ecosystems – learning and development, intentional economics, and sustainable, resilient community. To further this work, Joe is engaged in three projects: (1) he has joined with Mayo Clinic Neurology chair emeritus David Wiebers MD and other colleagues to establish the Seattle WA based TOR Foundation and TOR Group LLC, both of which he serves as chief operations officer; (2) he is doing research and program development in the neurobiology and neurochemistry of human learning for three key clients who are intent on infusing their corporate training programs with a more integrated, brain based approach; and (3) he has developed a business resilience practice, which features a distinctive, integral focus on building innovative and adaptive responses to critical business issues which span an organization’s strategic, process, and people domains, thereby advancing more compassionate economies and creating more scalable, sustainable futures.

Joe earned his BA degree from John Carroll University, in Cleveland, and has done advanced course work at Indiana University. He serves on the international committee for Reason in Practice, a UK based organization dedicated to advancing the application of critical thinking to the everyday practice of business management. He has had a special and long-term affiliation with business thought leader, Peter Koestenbaum and is a co-founder with Peter of the Institute for Philosophy-in- Business™. Joe is an affiliate of the Singapore Entrepreneurship Development Centre, Pte. Ltd. He has served for four years as a special advisor to the Human Learning and Development Center within the University of Denver Research Institute. Joe has served since 2009 as a lead researcher on the neuroscience of learning and resilience for a US Army’s Mental Acuity Program. Joe is an editor/peer reviewer for The Masie Center’s premier eLearning publication, Learning Journal.
